Our Food Microbiology lab is the only Lab in Pakistan Approved by the IAC International Antimicrobial Council having clean rooms complying with ISO Class 5 & 7 offering Onsite Microbiology Sampling and Sample Collection services at your doorstep including (Total plate count, Staphylococcus aureus, Coliform, Fecal coliform, Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Yeast and mold, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus cereus, Clostridium perfringens etc.)
Our Food Chemistry Lab provides a wide range of Tests including (Proximate Analysis, Vitamin/Mineral Testing, Authenticity/Adulteration Testing, Fatty Acid Profile, Sensory Evaluation etc.)
Sensory Parameters of Fresh Gills
- Gills: shall range from bright red to dark red color.
- Eyes: should be sparkling; opaque and sunken eyes are not acceptable.
- Flesh: There must be bounciness in the flesh of fish.
- Skin and mucus: scales should be intact with skin.
Odor and Flavor
Fish affected by persistent and distinct objectionable odors or flavor is not acceptable, as it depicts the characteristics of decomposition, rancidity or feed.
Flesh Abnormalities
Pasty texture resulting from parasitic infestation is not acceptable.
Moisture
Max allowed moisture in any individual fillet or sample is 83%.
Glazing
Clean Sea-water or glazing solution of potable quality shall be used for Glazing.
